Earlier this year Google showed several features to come to the Google lens in the future – now it will look like the time these features will start available to the public. Google describes their future in parsing smart information with their multitask model, or mother. The first pair feature for Google Lens will be available to the public using the mother to find answers with Google in a new way.
One feature enhances the second level search method initiated. Sort when you do a search with Google images and look for similar images, Google Lens will soon be able to show results based on image examples, it will be able to expand your search.
Google shows an example of a series of these capabilities with a picture of a shirt with a flower pattern. Users utilize lens icons (Google lenses) and type “socks with this pattern”, and Google understands what is sought. This new search system uses a combination of image and text elements in one query to get results.
Giving users options to combine images and text into one search, Google says they “make it easier to search visually and express your questions in a more natural way.”
Another example of a series of stronger search results Google is immediately released with video results. Using a Google lens to photograph your little bike and type “How to fix” can now produce not only the results of web pages with tutorials, but certain moments in video clips.
This is a “point-and-ask” search mode, because Google describes it. Google also has a plan to expand the way video content is described, with “related topics in video”. Google suggests this week with Mother, they can show “related topics that are not explicitly mentioned in the video.”
Google suggests that “the first version of this feature” (bit context video) will slide “in the coming weeks.” There will also be more visual improvements for this system in the following months.
Google search will immediately show the results expanded with the section called “things that need to be known.” With things you need to know, Google uses their understanding of how people “usually explore” the topic of your choice (your search term). Take the search example for “acrylic paintings” – Google will show the section to find out parts with titles such as “step by step”, “How to Clean”, and “Style” with links to articles, guides and videos.
Google will also include “fix this search” and “expand this search” with suggestions. The pieces of this search equation will be launched in the coming months.
Today’s launch is a set of new search results more vibrant. The new “visual results” system is designed to be more “can be explored” than before, with broad results from articles, images, videos, and others with emphasis on visual elements through text.
