Fortnite players don’t seem too interested in Rift-to-Go items, but they have succeeded in funding the return of another classic item: Shockwave launcher. The item was achieved by contributing gold bars in the donation box placed around the Battle of Royale, which had recently revealed, swept a large number of gold bars.

Following the Big Sky Fire event, Fortnite players are now faced with the upcoming war efforts. Part of this mission is a board donation, which has appeared in various locations around the island. This board presents potential items to be brought back to the island, as well as a donation box that is similar to what you find in real life.

Players who want to restore certain goods for war efforts can donate 50 gold bars and get mini shields in return. The donation was used to carry the tower to the island, and most players were asked to make a decision: should epic bring back rift-to-go or shockwave launcher? Four million gold bars later and the decision was revealed.

Players choose the Shockwave launcher than Rift-to-Go, a decision that is expected to pay off lately this season. In the midst of his announcement, Epic also revealed other details: Fortnite players have so far contributed more than 15.3 billion gold bars to war efforts.

It is a large number of gold bars for the season which is only a few weeks, underlining how many gamers continue to play the Battle Royale game and how engaged with a broader storyline. Additional donation options will be available, although it is difficult to guess how many donations this season will amount to.
