In mid-September, we talked about Tesla and Beta Beta FSD (full driving) for the initial fleet of car makers. Tesla is now preparing to expand Beta offers to more users, but there is a catch. Elon Musk has said that the driver who asks for access to full self-driving beta will only be given access if their safety score is quite high.

Cars & drivers have rented 2019 Tesla Model 3 obtained specifically to test full self-driving systems, but after two years of ownership, software is not yet available. Recently someone asked Musk via Twitter if everyone would be able to get access to beta immediately from the beta button.

Musk replied that the Beta button would request permission to access the Tesla insurance calculator for everyone who requested the experimental software. According to Musk, the user’s driving behavior will be good for the last seven days to get access to beta. The beta button is only available on Tesla and SUVs equipped with full driving packages.

The package added $ 10,000 at the price of purchasing Tesla vehicles. Some vehicles that have compatible autopilot versions can request access for a monthly fee of $ 99 per month or $ 199 per month, depending on the autopilot version. While Musk said that driving behavioral scores must be high enough to get into beta, there is no indication of exactly the score needed.

Musk also said that the beta 10.2 version for software will be launched on Friday, October 8. We know that security scores are based on a handful of factors, including advanced collision warnings, how fast the driver takes turns, how hard the brakes are, insecure after distance, and force the transfer of autopilot.
